Looe Festival of Words is hosting a Crime on the Quay Author Panel as part of this year’s exciting programme of free events and Terry Green is delighted to be taking part, in the company of three esteemed writers, all based in the West Country.
At the helm will be author of historical spy thrillers and professor of environmental toxicology, Richard Handy from Plymouth University. Alongside Terry on the panel of crime writers will be former archaeologist and historian, Jenny Kane, a professional writer for 20 years, who is currently writing a cosy crime series: The Fish and Chip Shop Detectives, for Hodder & Stoughton. They will be joined by Jayne Chard, a multi-award-winning film and TV drama producer, whose credits include the BBC flagship brand, Silent Witness and whose debut novel, More Than Murder, published in 2025, launched her “edgy cosy crime series.”
The panel discussion is scheduled from 2pm to 3.30pm, including time at the end for questions from the audience.
A free, community-led celebration for readers, writers and anyone who loves words, Looe Festival of Words is an annual event, taking place this year from September 28th – October 4th. The full programme includes talks, walks, workshops, crafting, poetry, stories, quizzing and a Book Fair.
