Terry Green is recognised as something of a queue guru, so it has caused him a wry smile or two to see readers queueing up to buy his books at author talks and signings!
Terry’s voice might be familiar to you as “The Voice of Cashier Number Three, Please” – over the past 20 years or so, around 25 million shoppers each month have heard his voice summoning them from the queue!
“I can claim to have introduced the British art of queueing to more than 40 countries across the world, winning two Queen’s Awards for Export!” he said. “Not only did I voice the call-forward system used by the Post Office, banks and retailers, but I founded the companies that invented both that and the retractable barriers used for single-line queues – still in use at airports today.”
