Tavistock businessman turned crime writer Terry Green is holding an exclusive preview event at The Bedford Hotel in Tavistock at 7pm on May 20th to celebrate the publication of his second book, Dangerous Art.
Join Terry on the eve of the book’s launch to discover what links The Bedford Hotel to iconic Burgh Island, the enchanting city of Prague and a high society wedding in a fictitious hamlet near Tavistock. Hear how his engaging hero, Jake Elderfield, delves the depths of Prague’s sinister underworld. And listen to readings from the book by Nigel Howells of Moonstone Theatre Company. The event is kindly hosted by The Bedford Hotel with proceeds from ticket sales going to Tavistock Library. Tickets cost £8 and are available from The Bedford Hotel, 01822 613221 or book below.
Says Terry: “You might know me as the voice of “Cashier Number Three, please!” I’ve also been dubbed “Mr Queue” as I have the distinction of having exported the uniquely British habit of queueing to more than 40 different countries!
“On the eve of the publication of my second thriller, I will be sharing what prompted me to turn to a life of crime! And I will talk about the inspiration behind my books and the perils I’ve encountered on my author journey!
“This celebratory event is also a wonderful opportunity for me to thank all my local supporters and in particular my Beta readers, many of them from local Book Clubs, who have been so generous with their time and given some very helpful feedback.”
Dangerous Art, Terry’s second thriller, is set in the high stakes world of fine art and it is a taut, tense and riveting story of shady dealings and career criminals, of abduction, blackmail and fraud.
